What is Tor+Privoxy+Opera?
Tor+Privoxy+Opera is a software bundle combines the power of the TOR (The Onion Router), Opera Browser , and Privoxy . It can be easily installed on a portable memory (pendrive, USB stick, hard drive) to allow anonymous surfing while at an internet cafe. The power of tor can helps you easily bypass the Internet filter.
How to use this software bundle?
1. Download the zip file and extract it to your hard drive or USB stick. Go to TorOpera folder, you'll find a run.bat file and three sub-folder: Tor, Privoxy and Opera.
2. Double click the run.bat file. It will then start 3 preconfigured applications: Tor, Privoxy and Opera.
3. When there are texts of "[notice] Tor has successfully opened a circuit. Looks like client functionality is working." showing in the Tor window, it means that everything is working now.
4. Type the website URL you want to go in Opera adress box and submit, you can anonymouly visit a blocked website now. Connection through the Opera browser is encrypted.
How to stop this software bundle?
1. First close the Opera window, then close the Tor window.
2. Right click the Privoxy button on the right coner of your screen, select "Exit Privoxy".
