1. What is a proxy server?
proxy servers are specialized web servers that allow web browsers to receive web pages from web servers without communicating with them directly. Proxy servers are often used to provide more secure web access in organizations; the proxy server is allowed to connect to the Internet, but the individual web browsers are only allowed to "talk" to the proxy server. When there are many users sharing a single proxy server, the proxy server can also speed up web browsing by caching popular pages.
2. What is a web proxy?
Web-based Proxies are powered by server-side softwares such as CGIProxy, PHProxy, PHP Proxy, Poxy, and custom proxy scripts. These proxies work entirely through a Web browser. Usually all that is needed to hide your IP address and surf anonymously is to visit the service's homepage in a Web browser and enter a URL (website address) in the form provided. There is no requirement to download or install software or reconfigure your computer. At AplusProxy.com, we collect hundreds of working web proxies for you, so you don't need to visit the service's homepage any more.
3. What is an anonymous proxy server?
Anonymous proxy servers hide your IP address and thereby prevent unauthorized access to your computer through the Internet. They do not provide anyone with your IP address and effectively hide any information about you and your reading interests. Besides that, they don’t even let anyone know that you are surfing through a proxy server.
4. Why shuld I use a proxy?
a. Bypass Internet filter. When some websites get blocked in your school, company or country, you should use a proxy.
b. Transfer speed improvement. Proxy servers accumulate and save files that are most often requested by thousands of Internet users in a special database, called 'cache'. Therefore, proxy servers are able to increase the speed of your connection to the Internet. The cache of a proxy server may already contain information you need by the time of your request, making it possible for the proxy to deliver it immediately.
c. Security and privacy. Anonymous proxy servers that hide your IP address thereby saving you from vulnerabilities concerned with it.
d. Sometimes you may encounter problems while accessing to web server when server administrator restricted access from your IP or even from wide IP range (for example restricting access from certain countries or geographical regions). So you try to access those pages using an anonymous proxy server.
